About Dillon Capital Strategies
Dillon Capital Strategies (DCS) is a boutique advisory firm specializing in strategy,
business development and business analytics in the biotech, pharma and medical
products industry. DCS’s full suite of services provide clients with VISION, to develop
PLANNING, and take ACTION. DCS focuses on the business side of drug, device and
diagnostic development and partnering. DCS serves pharma, biotech and investment
firms, large and small, worldwide in their efforts to find, assess, value and secure
partnering deals across all therapeutic areas. DCS also provides a customizable suite of
services to supplement executive management needs at smaller firms. DCS’s packaged
and custom-built decision-support tools underpin its ability to provide actionable and
uncommon insight to clients on both the “buy” and “sell” side of transactions.
DCS is built on nearly three decades of pharma and biotech executive management and
corporate planning experience, including early development of five companies, triage
assessment of 1000’s of opportunities, full valuations and deal structuring of over 400
potential transactions, and leader involvement in over 45 closed deals.
Dillon Capital Strategies has “warm” relationships with firms worldwide, bringing carefully
targeted and screened product opportunities or partners directly to your firm.
  How DCS Works
After a long career in the biopharma industry, Joe Dillon, Ph.D., MBA realized there was
significant unmet need among biopharma companies and investors, large and small, to
have ready access to an advisor with battle-tested experience. An advisor who had been
in their position before, knew their business and was willing to roll-up his sleeves to get
down to the nuts and bolts of the Vision, Planning and Action needed to create successful
outcomes. Joe founded Synerphysics, Inc. in 2008 and shortly thereafter formed its
advisory operating unit, Dillon Capital Strategies with the mission to provide this essential
support with “when-needed” availability, fitted fee structures, and top-notch deliverables.
Dr. Dillon explains, “From the start, I never planned to build a typical consulting company
with just a few experienced people selling projects and a legion of inexperienced
associates to do your work. Rather, my model is to provide personalized, high value
services directly to clients. You work with me to scope out a project and you get me
working on the project from start to final delivery.” The DCS promise to clients is simple:
  1.
Honesty - We will always provide honest feedback prior to engagements, submit
clear project plans, and stick to the agreed plan without surprises or hidden fees. If
unexpected things come up, we discuss them and adjust accordingly.
  2.
Expertise - Consistent with the honesty pledge, we will only take on your project if
we think we are the right people for the job. If not, we’ll tell you and if possible,
refer you to someone better qualified for that particular work.
  3.
Timeliness - We’ve been doing this type work for decades and can accurately
estimate timelines. We know time is money and always strive to meet or beat
  deadlines.
  4.
Focus - We only take on as many engagements as we know we can get done right
and on time. We manage our time commitments such that we have the on-demand
ability to pour extra hours into an engagement when activities heat up - like during
intial partner outreach, terms negotiations, and closings.
  5.
Access - We make ourselves accessible to clients, even in off-hours. Feel free to
“pick my brain” about things during an engagement even if it’s outside the scope of
  the project plan.
  6.
Value - DCS’s overhead is very low, so we can offer you lower fees. You get top
notch consulting results at a fraction of the cost of the big consulting firms.
